The Impreglon Process

Step 1: Receiving

  • Disassemble parts to simplest form
  • Visually inspect to ensure suitability for coating
  • Enter parts into system
  • Assign production routing control

  • De-grease/de-gas to remove organic contaminants
  • Media blast to NACE #1/SSPC-SP5 white metal specification
  • Visually inspect and perform profile test

  • Inspect surface
  • Jig and mask as required
  • Clean with dry compressed air
  • Apply coating

  • Set oven parameters
  • Monitor cure time and temperature electronically

  • Visually inspect 100% of coated area for coverage and uniformity
  • Check cure
  • Perform thickness tests
  • Check fit (as required)
